June 29 - July 5 Training

Monday: 3 miles (9:42), 6 miles (9:04).
Tuesday: 8 miles (9:17).  I did 10 Hill Blasts, which are 10-12 seconds fast up a hill and they averaged 5:44 pace.  My fastest ever for hill blasts.
Wednesday: 12 miles (8:42).  1/2 mile warmup, 8 miles @ 8:45, 1/2 mile easy, 1/2 mile @ 3:40, 1/2 mile easy, 1/2 mile @ 3:40, 1/2 mile easy, 1 mile cool down.  With temps in the low to mid 70's, this was an easy run.
Thursday: 6 miles (9:23).  Treadmill.
Friday: 4 miles (9:02).  Easy day to rest for tomorrow's 10K race.
Saturday: 2 miles (9:51), 6.43 miles (7:30), 5 miles (9:32).  Ran the Music City 10K on Saturday in 47:38 and took 1st Place Grand Masters.  Pretty warm and humid outside and a hilly course.
Sunday: 10 miles (9:23), 5 miles (8:54). This was supposed to be a 15 mile long run, but it was raining when I woke up, so ran around 11 AM and it was getting pretty steamy outside, so stopped after 10 miles and then ran 5 miles later in the day.

Total Miles: 67.5 miles. A solid week including a good race on Saturday.  Another tough week of training coming this week to get ready for the Napa to Sonoma Half Marathon on July 19th.
