March 30 - April 5 Training

Monday: 6 miles (9:39).
Tuesday: 3 miles (9:59), 7 miles (9:43).
Wednesday: 9 miles (9:09), 3 miles (10:10).  The 9 mile run was the Boomer Route and after a 3 mile warmup I did 10 repeats of 3:00 at 7:45 effort followed by 1:30 easy jog.
Thursday: 5 miles (9:36), 5 miles (10:00).  The intent was to do 10 miles on rolling hills, but skies were getting dark on Liberty Lane and lightning was present, so I turned around after 2.5 miles.  After the storm passed, did the other 5 miles on the Boomer and in Fountain Brooke.
Friday: 10 miles (9:43).
Saturday: 8 miles (9:19).
Sunday: 19.53 miles (8:54).  After a 3 mile warm up, I did 3 repeats of Madison Creek Loop at tempo pace followed by a 1/2 mile slow jog.  Then 3 mile cool down at Moss Wright Park.  The 3 Madison Creek loops averaged 8:04, 8:05, 8:23.  Legs were getting tired on the 3rd loop.

Total miles: 75.6.  Back to back 75 mile weeks.  I don't quite feel I've reached the conditioning I had at Grandma's Marathon. I have a couple workouts this next week on Wednesday and Saturday and I think those will give me the final conditioning check to tell me where I am at.
